For the costumes in our film the characters Adam and Stanley were dressed slightly different Stanley was dressed more casually where as Adam was dressed more smart looking.
Stanley wore a green parker coat with a brown, white and grey scarf, black jeans with white trainers.
Adam was wearing a smart black fitted coat with a beige jumper underneath, black skinny jeans and black loafers. From what the characters are wearing it can tell you a lot about the character. You would usually know how wealthy the character is and where the character would come from.

malcolms nine frame

1.     1-  In frame 1 we see the main character holding two shotguns us. He has a distressed look on his face, which could mean he has just had a disagreement with other characters in the movie. The leather jacket implies that he might have a lot of money due to drug dealing, leather jackets can also be a stereotype for someone who is a ‘thug’ and this is portrayed by the producer. He looks like he has just come out of the door behind him which implies that he has just had the disagreement or has been given orders.

2.    2-   In frame 2, there are 4 characters in the shot. They all look like they are planning something big by their facial expressions as they all look very serious and concentrated on what they are doing. They all look like business men by the way they are dressed as they are all dressed in smart, black suits this also shows a stereotype of dealing with business. The fact they are all surrounded by antique possessions show that they all are wealthy (most likely from doing illegal things like dealing drugs or stealing) the different eights of characters within this shot allows viewers to not be confused and highlights level of authority.

3.  3-     In frame 3 we see that the character is being very threatening by the way he points his finger, we can also tell he is being threatening by his facial expression as he is clenching his jaw and frowning – this makes him look angry and frustrated. He is probably known for wearing a big leather jacket as he wears it all through his scenes; this may be known as his ‘business jacket’. The background is unusual as the wallpaper is palm trees, so this must mean that the character causes a scene in the calmest places.

4.       4-In frame 4 we see a very smartly dressed black man. This man looks like he is very high up by the way he is dressed in all black and especially in a blazer, as a blazer may suggest he is a high rank in his business. The background he is in suggests he is in a very sophisticated office. His facial expressions show power as he is looking down on who he is looking at which also shows evidence that he is in a high position.

5.      5- Within frame 5 we see a medium close up used to allow viewers to see the characters emotional state in which we see is very distressed and threatening by the use of pointing his finger.  We also see that he is of a high level due to the expensive clothes he is wearing.

6.       6-Frame 6 is a 4 frame with all 4 of the characters in a car in which viewers can clearly see facial expressions. One character is on the phone so the use of this implies that the characters are working to perform a job which requires all 4 of the characters to do.

7.      7- Frame 7 is of all 3 which is a wide shot as we can clearly see allcharacters by only having three characters suggests to viewers that one character has been lost during the job which is of high importance.

8.      8- In frame 8 a medium wide shot is used to show the surroundings of where the characters are and highlighting the props and here the lighting is dim to give an eerie and sinister view point of what is about to happen.

9.       9- In frame 9 a medium long shot has been used to yet again establish where the characters now are and what they are drinking and how they are socialising in a typical gentleman environment

Plot outline;

Married couple arguing (Kennedy & Malcolm) Alice goes to her room and reads her favourite book about the events of the 1940’s. After she calms down she takes a walk by herself and see’s a 1940’s car drive past and realises that she’s in a completely different time. Harry comes up to Alice and asks where a address is, but Alice just looks at him confused As he is dressed in old fashioned clothes. Alice persuades Harry that she is from a different time and misses her husband so Harry helps her get back to the 21^st century before she is stuck there forever.

Equipment-

for our main task we will not be using much equipment but we will be using:
A Camera
A Tripod
A Podcast

we will need the camera to film our film and to take pictures of our location. we will be using the tripod so that we could have a steady movement shot when either following a character or when having a wide shot. we used the podcast when Malcolm had to do a voice over for his character Stanley.

Our location shots would most likely be in a garage setting/abandoned area. we have found a big alley way which backs onto garages. cars can come up or down the path.we have chosen this location as we will be able to film with no interruptions and no noise, but this will also create an intense atmosphere when Malcolm (Stanley) is walking up the alley and also between the two characters as it will make the effect of the fight scene look better.

Within our location we have changed our first area of choice which was the garages due to the length of time it took to get to this location and limited space we had within this location.
So in replacement to this we have chosen to film in a housing estate as it sets the realistic features of everyday life and having an ordinary teenager walking through with a want for revenge and a dark past.
